Mitchell Fuel Company says it is a family-owned business that has served South Windsor and Bolton since 1957 with heating and air conditioning services. A recent customer from Manchester said that when their oil tank developed a significant leak, Mitchell Fuel responded quickly and a replacement tank was installed and working the very next day, and the crew's cleanup afterward was thorough. That customer said they had relied on the company for nearly twenty years for oil delivery and furnace maintenance. A 2026 customer said a driver brought oil on a same-day order after a rough experience with a competitor that morning, and that the driver was kind and polite. In a 2022 review, a customer said they and their brother had used Mitchell Fuel for oil delivery, boiler service and a boiler install at four properties for 15+ years, and that techs explained what they were repairing or replacing and why. A 2024 customer said they had used Mitchell Fuel for 6 years without a problem with deliveries and found Marie helpful. A recent customer said Sonya was very nice to them about an issue with billing and service costs, and that it was resolved. A recent customer said prices were too high, that they were yelled at when they called at a busy time, and that the receptionist, Maria, was unprofessional. A 2026 customer said an oil delivery took about 14 days to arrive, that they ran out of oil over a weekend, and that Sonia finally made the delivery happen before they switched companies. In a 2022 review, a customer said a Daikin heat pump installed at their mother's house in 2020 had problems, that 2021 passed without one visit from Mitchell while temperatures fluctuated, and that a Daikin rep talked them through a fix on the wall remote. A 2021 customer said that after a delivery person sent photos to the office, Mitchell said the water heater tank needed replacing and declined to send a technician to confirm; a different company replaced a pump instead. A 2023 customer said a customer service rep told them to go elsewhere if they were unhappy. Connecticut lists its S1 heating and cooling contractor licence, HTG.0409009-S1, as active, held by Mitchell Fuel Co Inc. **Strengths:** - Next-day tank replacement — a recent customer said a leaking tank was replaced next day - A same-day oil order — a 2026 customer said the driver was kind and polite - A clear repair explanation — a 2022 customer said techs explained what they replaced and why - A billing issue resolved — a recent customer said Sonya was very nice about it **Concerns:** - A 14-day delivery wait — a 2026 customer ran out of oil over a weekend - Receptionist conduct — a recent customer said Maria was completely unprofessional - A heat pump follow-up — a 2022 customer said no visit came through 2021 - An unconfirmed tank quote — a 2021 customer said no technician came to confirm ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - A recent r/Connecticut commenter wrote that they use Mitchell Fuel out of South Windsor _(confidence: medium)_ - [reddit.com](https://www.reddit.com/r/Connecticut/comments/1vl24bo/oil_boiler_service_companies/p30nv6l/) — “r/Connecticut — We use Mitchell Fuel out of South Windsor.
