## The honest read

MRO Landscaping LLC says it is based in Danbury and has spent more than 15 years designing, building and maintaining outdoor spaces for homeowners across Fairfield and Litchfield County. Its Houzz profile describes landscaping, lawn mowing, lawn installation and masonry.

A recent Google customer said the company took the time to understand what they wanted for the yard, offered suggestions that changed the design, finished on time and left the space clean. A recent customer wrote that they transformed an outdoor space.

A 2025 customer said they use MRO for clearing land, trenching, stone work and lawn care, and that it had just finished a 15x30' stone patio with a retention wall and stone steps. A 2023 customer said the company replaced a deck with Trex and installed a 125-foot retaining wall, almost 6 feet high at its peak, along with stone steps. A 2022 customer listed a 135-foot retaining wall, 7 feet high at its peak, plus plantings, fill, sod and natural stone steps.

A 2025 customer in Woodbury said they had used MRO for eight years for gardening, seasonal clean-ups, mowing and winter plowing, and that MRO located, excavated and fixed a blocked underground drainage system after a specialized firm had failed. A 2024 customer with a long, steep driveway said past plow companies could never handle it but MRO was timely. A 2024 customer in Shelton said MRO did a thorough fall clean-up before Thanksgiving at a reasonable price.

A 2025 customer said MRO installed 175 feet of drainage pipe and put the clay-heavy soil it dug up back into the trench instead of fresh topsoil, and that grass planted over it kept dying. The same 2025 customer said the pipe was pitching the wrong way until they pointed it out halfway through, and that the price came to almost double the quote before they negotiated a settlement.

Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0660125, as active, held by MRO Landscaping LLC.

**Strengths:**
- A 125-foot retaining wall — a 2023 customer said it stood almost 6 feet high
- Steep-driveway plowing — a 2024 customer said MRO handled what past plowers could not
- Yard design input — a recent customer said suggestions made a big difference

**Concerns:**
- A drainage pipe install — a 2025 customer said it pitched the wrong way
- Price over quote — a 2025 customer said the bill was almost double the quote
