## The honest read

One recent customer's big project with Murphy Heating & Cooling was ducted central air/heating plus mini-splits: Jonny mapped out the project, Christine handled the paperwork including rebates, and Donald worked on site to make sure everything was done according to plan and on schedule. An achrnews.com article names Ryan Murphy as the owner of the company, located in New Milford, Connecticut. On Google it holds 5 stars from 1159 ratings, and its BBB grade is A+.

A recent customer said service manager John S. evaluated an old central a/c unit and recommended a replacement, and that AJ, Anthony and Ronan installed the new system and removed the rusty old indoor unit while keeping the house clean. A recent customer said the company installed a mini-split HVAC system and helped think through the best plan rather than selling more than was needed. A recent customer said technician John fixed a problematic bedroom thermostat without replacing it. A recent customer said Arnold did a complete cleaning of the boiler and changed out a few parts, and a recent customer who had oil burner service said the tech answered all their questions.

A 2026 customer said a leaking water heater was quoted on a Friday from a few photos and the install was scheduled for the following Monday. A 2025 customer said Anthony looked into an oil tank level problem and called the maker of the smart oil gauge, which was aware the gauge reads a full tank inaccurately. A 2025 customer said David and his assistant gave an estimate before repairing a leaking pipe, then repaired a second leaking fitting they noticed while there.

A 2021 customer said Ryan and team installed a ductless heating and A/C system and, when things went awry, came out on major holidays and replaced parts. A 2021 Reddit commenter on r/Connecticut said Ryan Murphy does yearly maintenance on their boiler and installed a new one when it was needed.

A recent customer said a confirmed AC maintenance appointment was a no-show: no one came during the scheduled window and no one called.

**Strengths:**
- Ducted and mini-split project — a recent customer said it ran to plan and schedule
- A thermostat fix — John repaired a bedroom thermostat without replacing it
- Quick water heater swap — a 2026 customer had a Friday quote, Monday install
- A yearly furnace tune-up — a recent customer said they never leave a mess

**Concerns:**
- A missed appointment — a recent customer said no one came or called
