The service area it lists includes Newtown, Fairfield, Greenwich, Hartford, New Milford, South Windsor and Stamford. A 2024 customer said Gregg Wilkinson came to their home to prepare estimates that included storage at Murphy's, and that the moving staff wrapped their belongings, packed the van, moved everything into the storage facility and, 8 months later, back out of storage and into their new home. A 2023 customer who moved from Connecticut to Ohio wrote that Kyla reached the driver, Dan, and rescheduled the delivery when the new home wasn't ready to close as scheduled, and that all the belongings arrived in good condition. A 2024 reviewer wrote that the moving crew, led by Marcelo, worked hard all day to move them out of a fourth floor walk up and never slowed down in the 92 degree heat. In 2024, a customer with brand new oak floors said Marcelo Vicentin and his crew wrapped every piece of furniture and got everything done without a mark on the floor. A 2023 customer said the movers listened to their mom, who has early Alzheimer's, and were kind and gentle with her during a move from senior apartments to an assisted living facility. A 2022 customer who gave four stars said Tiago and the guys hustled heavy furniture out to the truck for hours, but left two small spots in both houses where a corner of the furniture went through the drywall; the movers pointed out one, and the customer found the other later. **Strengths:** - A storage-to-home move — a 2024 customer's goods came out of storage 8 months later - Floor protection — a 2024 customer said new oak floors were left without a mark - A rescheduled delivery — a 2023 customer said Kyla rescheduled when closing was delayed **Concerns:** - Drywall damage — a 2022 customer said a furniture corner went through drywall ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - 5 stars from 206 Google ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=Murphy%20Moving%20%26%20Storage&query_place_id=ChIJO_n23hT754kRXmJXTTJlEW4) — “Google: 5★ from 206 ratings” - Says it has been in business for 112 years _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](https://murphymovers.com) — “Self-reported 112 years in business” - Lists a service area including Newtown, Fairfield, Greenwich, Hartford, New Milford, South Windsor and Stamford _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](https://murphymovers.com) — “Stated service area (self-reported): York, Brewster, Fairfield, Greenwich, Hartford, New Milford, Newtown, South Windsor, Stamford” - A 2024 customer described a move into Murphy's storage and, 8 months later, out of storage into a new home _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sChZDSUhNMG9nS0VJQ0FnSUNqb2JDYklnEAE!2m1!1s0x0:0x6e1165324d57625e!3m1!1s2@1:CIHM0ogKEICAgICjobCbIg%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ The entire Murphy team was a pleasure to work with.
