## The honest read

MW Welding is a Boston-based structural and ornamental metalwork contractor offering mobile and on-site welding, miscellaneous metals fabrication and installation, and custom ironwork like railings and gates, serving within about 100 miles of the city.

Its owner's Angi profile says he's spent 16 years welding — 13 of them as an ironworker, ten in the union — with prior stints at Marr Crane and Rigging, Santini Brothers Iron Works, E.D.M. Construction, and TNT Steel Erectors before starting the company. The business is an Angi-approved pro offering emergency service and free estimates, and carries an active Massachusetts Minority Business Enterprise certification through 2027.

**Strengths:**
- 16 years welding — a decade in the union trades before founding the shop
