## The honest read

Mystic Painting is a small, one-owner operation — Michael Rassiccia runs it with a single employee, per its BBB profile — that has been doing business in Wakefield since 2011. It carries a Better Business Bureau A+ grade, though the company isn't BBB-accredited, and its own site says it is Lead-safe RRP trained.

The reviews span five years, and specific jobs come up in nearly every one. A 2025 review described the company handling exceptionally tall ceilings — 20 feet in the living room, 11 feet in the kitchen — while removing old protruding nails and screws, with the crew moving furniture and draping everything in plastic to protect against drips. Another 2025 review said the team patched and repaired numerous holes left behind by recent electrical work as part of an interior repaint. One customer, writing in 2023, had Mike sand and paint stairs, 11 doors, and casings and walls throughout a 103-year-old home. A different 2023 review described matching paint to downspouts exactly and leaving extra paint behind in case of scratches during installation.

Several reviewers describe returning customers — one said they first hired the company for an exterior repaint and have brought them back repeatedly for interior work since, calling the results consistently excellent.

Reviews have slowed recently — just one in the past six months — but the pattern across five years of them is consistent: careful prep, protection of the home, and close attention on detail work like trim, stairs, and matching paint precisely.

**Strengths:**
- Careful prep and protection — plastic sheeting, moved furniture safely
- Fine detail work — matched trim, stairs, and paint precisely
- Repeat customers — hired again years after first job
