It holds 4.8 stars from 17 ratings on Google and an A+ from BBB, and the company lists Cape Elizabeth, South Portland and Scarborough in its service area. The March 2026 new-home review is the fullest. The customers, building from out of state, said Chris Legare worked with them on scope and options early on, kept his promise on when they could break ground and how long the build would take, and that the crew met them off-hours and handled punch-list items after closing. In a November 2024 review, a whole-house remodel customer said that when unexpected issues came up, Chris brought a detailed breakdown of options to meetings, and that a project-tracking program let them follow the budget and timeline. A June 2024 customer had a new deck, raised yard area, walled gardens and a stone firepit area built. On BBB, an undated review complains of paying $122,158 for a 194 sf kitchen remodel, calling it a huge price for a not very big job. BuildZoom shows one 1-star rating. A local awards list on Seacoast Online named Nautilus in a Silver tie for Best Home Improvement Company. **Strengths:** - Schedule promises kept — 2026 new-home build broke ground as promised - Options when issues arise — 2024 remodel customer got detailed breakdowns - Project tracking — clients could log in to follow budget and timeline **Concerns:** - Kitchen remodel cost — undated BBB review: $122,158 for 194 sf ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - 4.8 stars from 17 ratings on Google _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=Nautilus%20Construction%20LLC&query_place_id=ChIJY24rJNGtskwRUZYk2oVYmwc) — “Google: 4.8★ from 17 ratings” - A March 2026 new-home customer said Chris Legare kept his promise on the ground-breaking date and build length _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT21SdVJtY3llVnB4VTA5TGJ6VlNUR1ZCWXkxUlNXYxAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x79b5885da249651!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOmRuRmcyeVpxU09LbzVSTGVBYy1RSWc%7C%7C?hl=en) — “5★ The team At Nautilus Construction literally brought our new home dreams to life!!
