## The honest read

NB Construction and Cleaning Services is a Leominster, Massachusetts general contractor that says it has been serving customers since 2018 under founder Washington Fernandes. The company's own site lists rough and finish carpentry, siding, decking, and renovation and remodeling work, with free estimates offered on new projects. State licensing records show the business held a Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor license (#211836), currently expired; BuildZoom's directory additionally reports the license as inactive and notes it was cancelled at one point. Permit records show one 2025 project, a pair of residential repair permits in Revere, Massachusetts valued at $7,500 and $1,200.

**Strengths:**
- Free estimates — offers free estimates for prospective projects
- Founder-led business — led by founder Washington Fernandes since 2018

**Concerns:**
- Expired HIC license — state registry shows license 211836 as expired
- Thin project history — BuildZoom shows a single recorded 2025 project

**Where sources disagree:**
- BuildZoom lists the business address as 70 Washington St, Leominster, versus 65 Washington St on file
