## The honest read

Neighborhood Chimney Services lists chimney repair, cleaning and inspection, liner installation, and stove and fireplace installation and service on its website, and says it has been in business 25 years. Google shows 4.9 stars from 480 ratings, and its BBB grade is A+.

A recent customer said Hector and Juan handled the chimney cleaning and left everything spotless afterward. A recent customer said Hector did their chimney sweep and explained what he was doing step by step. A recent customer said the technician arrived right on time, did a thorough inspection and left the fireplace spotless.

A 2026 customer said the company rebuilt their chimney and installed a stainless-steel liner. A 2026 customer said workers showed up on time to install a liner and repair some brick work. A 2026 customer said Chad and his team installed a new fireplace insert and pipe and covered every piece of furniture in the room. A 2026 customer said Hector took videos of the inside of the chimney during a pellet stove cleaning and showed them that the lining was cracked and the cement on the cap was deteriorating. A 2025 customer said the company tracked down obsolete parts for a 20-year-old propane fireplace and Peter Lawlor installed them. A 2023 customer said the company built a custom surround so a slightly larger insert would fit their fireplace.

A 2026 customer said the company cleaned the chimney, waterproofed the brick, added a rain cap and relined the fireplace, then later updated the review: a Regency insert bought on the company's information had been trouble since installation, with a damaged door surround and a fan access that sticks. That customer said they had asked the company to buy back the unit, that it had not yet done so, and lowered the rating by a star.

Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0637085, as active, held by Neighborhood Chimney Services LLC.
