## The honest read

New England Construction Boston is a general contracting company working out of the Framingham area, offering home remodeling, additions, custom home construction, new home construction, and basement work; the company's own site says it has been in business more than 30 years. Houzz and BBB list different street addresses for the company, though both tie back to the same phone number, so it's worth confirming which one is current.

Its two Google reviews are both five stars. In a 2022 review, one customer said the crew was very patient, explained the process as it went, and said they'd recommend and use the company again; a 2023 review simply says 'great worker.'

The Better Business Bureau lists one complaint against the company and gives it a B- rating for not responding to it. BBB also lists a Massachusetts building-regulations license number on file for the company.

This is a fit for a homeowner considering a larger remodel or addition. Confirm current licensing directly, ask how the open BBB complaint was handled, and get a couple of recent references before signing a contract.

**Strengths:**
- Patient communication — a 2022 review said the process was clearly explained
- Wide project scope — handles remodels, additions, and custom home builds

**Concerns:**
- Unanswered BBB complaint — one complaint led to a B- Better Business Bureau rating

**Where sources disagree:**
- Houzz lists the company at 6 Greenview St Apt 204, Framingham; BBB lists it at 45 Riner St, Framingham — the same phone number ties both listings to this business, but the directories give different addresses.
