## The honest read

New England Duct Care cleans home air ducts and dryer vents. A local news site, newtownbee.com, has described Newtown resident Jason Besse as the owner and operator of New England Duct Care. The company holds an A+ grade with the Better Business Bureau and 4.9 stars from 48 Google ratings.

A recent customer said the company had a three-week wait but put them on a cancellation list and came out three days later, then provided before-and-after photos of the ducts and dryer vent. Two days after that cleaning, the same customer's dryer showed a flow issue; Jason, the owner, came back, diagnosed a crushed dryer vent hose behind the dryer, replaced the hose and clamp, and refused to charge for it. A recent customer who was referred by their HVAC company said Jason quoted a fair and reasonable price and provided photos of what was in the ducts. A recent customer said they had used Jason 3 times since 2022.

A 2025 customer said the company found and removed a long shop vac wand that the previous duct cleaners had left stuck in the dryer vent line, and removed sawdust left in the ducts from construction. A 2025 customer said Jason and Frank arrived on time and the quoted price stayed the same even though the ducts were quite dirty and needed additional time.

A 2023 customer writing about a condo complex said he did not call or show for bookings he had made a couple of months earlier, and said he was not willing to take on second-floor units.

**Strengths:**
- Free return visit — the owner replaced a crushed hose at no charge
- Price held firm — a 2025 customer said the quote stayed the same despite dirty ducts
- Before-and-after photos — a recent customer received photos of the ducts and dryer vent

**Concerns:**
- Condo complex no-show — a 2023 customer reported a no-call no-show for condo bookings
