## The honest read

New England Wood Floors, Inc. is a Pembroke, Massachusetts hardwood flooring contractor that says it handles custom installation, sanding, refinishing, restoration, repairs and custom staining for residential, commercial and athletic properties across the South Shore and Cape Cod. The company describes itself as owner-operated by James Bailey and states it has been in business for 30 years.

It reports holding a Massachusetts Construction Supervisor's License, though that number hasn't been checked against the state registry, and says it is a National Wood Flooring Association member and a certified wood floor inspector, with Kahrs and Aacer sports-floor certifications and past work as an installer for the Basketball Hall of Fame.

There is no independent customer feedback on file yet to weigh against these self-reported claims, so it is worth asking directly about recent local projects and confirming the license and certifications before booking.

**Strengths:**
- Industry certifications — NWFA member and certified wood floor inspector
- Basketball Hall of Fame — cites past installer work there
