## The honest read

North River Builders works on a design-to-build model, where the same company draws the project and builds it. The BBB describes it as a Concord, Massachusetts residential design-and-build contractor with 23 years in business, and gives it an A+ grade.

In a 2025 Google review, a customer said the design-to-build model let them fine tune their project along the way as it was being built. That customer said the design team, the carpenters and the trades teams worked in tight coordination, which kept them on track and informed, and that neighbors commented on how polite the team was each morning when they arrived on site.

Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 151205, is expired on the state registry.

**Strengths:**
- Design-to-build model — a 2025 customer could fine tune the project during building
- Coordinated trades — a 2025 customer said design and trades teams kept them informed

**Concerns:**
- Expired HIC registration — number 151205 is expired on the state registry
