## The honest read

Northeast Horticultural Services takes down, prunes and plants trees. Its website names nine towns as its service area, including Easton, Fairfield and Bridgeport, and says the company has been in business 20 years. It holds 4.6 stars from 120 Google ratings.

A recent customer said Junior, Nacho and Alan pruned mature plantings at the house, and took one star off because the billing department needs an attitude adjustment. A recent customer who has used the company since Stacey started it said it trims or tops trees so neighbors don't object, and cuts the lawn cleanly.

A 2026 customer said a huge white pine fell in a storm, and the company handled it from the first meeting with Stacy to the final clean up. A 2025 customer said Frank and his team pruned 5 trees and reviewed their work with the customer before they left. A 2025 customer said the company removed 9 large evergreens and sprayed azaleas and rhododendrons that were showing signs of disease. A 2025 reviewer who manages a project for a nonprofit conservation association said the crew removed about 100 invasive trees and planted twenty-two replacement trees. A 2025 Reddit commenter in r/newhaven said the company had done great work for them on tree removal. A 2024 customer said a split tree leaning over their home was removed without damage to the home and yard.

In a 2022 review, a customer who hired the company to landscape around a new pool said it repeatedly did not show up when promised, the grass did not grow, and a dying tree was replaced with a half-dead one. A 2022 customer said the lawn was destroyed during a tree removal and that the company would not come back with soil and seed, citing the cost of seed. A 2024 customer said the company would not quote their project because they had no email address.

Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0643880, as active, held by Northeast Horticultural Services.
