## The honest read

Northeast Softwash is a pressure-washing and exterior-cleaning company with a 5-star Google rating from 35 ratings. The company describes itself as serving home and business owners in and around Scarsdale, and its own service-area list names Bedford, New Castle, Greenwich, Harrison, Bronxville, North Castle, New Rochelle and Mamaroneck.

A customer with a slate roof in Hartsdale says Bill and Paul treated decades of moss and lichen, continued the work over multiple days and returned for spot treatment. That customer also says they removed rust on the brick of the front facade that another washer had attempted and failed to remove, and called the pricing fair for the level of service. A customer who lives in the woods says the house was cleaned in just a day and looks like it got a fresh coat of paint.

A 2024 reviewer described the owners as two brothers who did the work themselves. A 2024 customer said Bill power washed a deck and left it clean and bright. A 2023 customer said the quote was detailed and clear, and that they showed up on time to wash a 20-year-old house, including the siding, front walkway and backyard pavers.

A 2022 customer wrote that Billy power washed the home and treated it with chemicals to prevent future mold and mildew. A 2022 customer who had contacted two companies and a contractor about Hardie siding wrote that Bill and his brother knew more about preserving the landscaping and about softwashing the siding to prevent damage. A 2022 customer said they had washed the house and cleaned the gutters.

**Strengths:**
- Slate roof treatment — a customer says moss and lichen were treated over multiple days
- Brick rust removal — a customer says they removed rust another washer could not
- A detailed quote — a 2023 customer said the quote was detailed and clear
- A mildew treatment — a 2022 customer said the washed home was treated against mold
