## The honest read

Northpoint Mechanical, LLC describes itself on the BBB as providing plumbing, heating and cooling services. A 2022 customer said Dave, the owner, came to replace a broken oil fired water heater and started the work 3 days after giving the price. That customer asked him to inspect a 28-year-old hot air heating system while there; it was leaking, and so was the interior 275 gal oil tank, and the 2022 customer said the price to replace it all was much less than expected.

A 2025 customer wrote that they responded within a day, quickly diagnosed problems, and helped with a water softener, filter, new fixtures, new propane lines and furnace cleaning, all reasonably priced. A 2022 customer said David did a boiler repair. A 2022 customer said David came out the same day to install a faucet. A 2024 customer said Dave solved their plumbing problem in less than 5 minutes and did not charge for the visit. A 2019 customer said David re-installed a mixing valve in their bathroom.

A 2020 customer said they never heard from the company after the plumber came for a shower stall job, and wrote that the job seemed too small for its tilers.

David M Lovlien, Sr holds New Hampshire hvac licence GFE0905420, which is active on the state registry. The company's own New Hampshire hvac licence, MBE1801079, is expired on the state registry. Its BBB grade is B-, and it shows 5 stars from 11 ratings on Google and 4.2 stars from 5 ratings on Angi.

**Strengths:**
- A same-day faucet install — a 2022 customer said David came the same day
- Heating system replacement — a 2022 customer said the price was much less than expected
- A quick diagnosis — a 2025 customer said problems were diagnosed quickly

**Concerns:**
- Expired company licence — MBE1801079 is expired on the state registry
- A shower stall job — a 2020 customer never heard back after the plumber came
