## The honest read

Rugs, carpets, couches, windows, siding, even a roof full of solar panels: Nu-England Services Company of Sutton gets hired to clean most of what a house holds. The company says it has been in business 55 years, and its own site names a service area of 15 towns, from Sutton and Millbury to Worcester and Webster. On Google it holds 4.9 stars from 144 ratings, and its BBB page is an A+ with accreditation.

A recent customer whose dog was sick for 4 days said the company restored the carpets, which dried in 4 hours with the stains gone. Dalton and River cleaned a 16 year old area rug that its owner said has new life. A customer said Dalton and River cleaned a couch, loveseat, recliner, hall, stairs and living room and were respectful of newly painted baseboards and walls. One customer emailed, got a call less than an hour later, dropped off a rug the next day and had it back cleaned 3 business days later.

Outside the house, a customer praised the power washing of siding, gutters, concrete steps and patio. A 2026 customer said the company cleaned a solar panel array from the ground with specially-treated water, and that the crew was led by owner Dan. When a cracked toilet tank sent water from the second floor through the ceiling after hours, a customer said Dan called back right away and took care of everything.

The work goes past cleaning. A 2025 customer said the company replaced an old carpet with new flooring in 2 days and came back to install two transitional pieces at the doors. A customer back from FL said the house needed a good cleaning and the cleaning team handled it, as always. A recent Google customer gave 1 star and wrote "Bad."

**Strengths:**
- Area rug cleaning — a customer had a rug back in 3 business days
- Carpet stain removal — stains gone after a sick dog, one customer said
- Power washing — siding, gutters, concrete steps and patio for one customer
- After-hours callback — Dan called back right away about a cracked toilet tank
- Solar panel cleaning — a 2026 customer said it was done from the ground

**Concerns:**
- A 1-star rating — a recent Google customer wrote “Bad”
