## The honest read

A ctinsider.com article names Garrett O'Dell as the owner of O'Dell Landscape Services. The company lists Fairfield, Greenwich, Darien, Westport and Bedford as its service area.

One recent customer had gardens that needed weeding, edging and mulch, piles of leaves and debris, and an overgrown forsythia hedge. That customer wrote that two guys and 6.5 hours later the gardens were edged and mulched, the ivy and debris were gone and the hedge was under control, and called Garrett's pricing reasonable. A recent customer said a small project of sod and a few plantings grew into a much larger project. A recent customer said all the work agreed in the estimate was done.

A 2026 customer said Garrett and his team did a spring cleanup and mulching, and that Garrett kept them informed when the crew arrived and when they finished. A 2026 reviewer wrote that the company cleaned up the entire property, then thatched, aerated and seeded, and laid mulch throughout the flowerbeds. A 2026 customer with a house in Greenwich said the yard was left sharp and clean, and praised the company's work that winter during the snowstorms. A 2026 customer said their North Stamford home was looking squared away that season and called the prices reasonable.

A recent customer called the company unreliable and unprofessional.

**Strengths:**
- Garden overhaul — a recent customer said gardens were edged and mulched in 6.5 hours
- Arrival updates — a 2026 customer said Garrett reported when the crew arrived and finished
- Thatching and seeding — a 2026 reviewer described thatching, aerating and seeding the property

**Concerns:**
- Reliability complaint — a recent customer called the company unreliable and unprofessional
