Todd and his crew replaced a deck at one customer's home, and that customer went on to recommend him to their HOA. On a different job, the crew replaced deck boards on multiple decks along with stairs, worked all day on some hot days and kept a very neat worksite; that customer said Todd provided updates and pictures of progress. A customer whose tenants needed a bathroom rebuilt said Chris made very little effort to communicate or get back to them, and they ended up going elsewhere. A homeowner rebuilding after a flood said work that should have taken 6 to 8 weeks dragged on for 5 months. That homeowner described sheetrock cut crooked, self-leveler mixed wrong and a toilet drain filled with self-leveler that required a jack hammer and pipe replacement job. The same homeowner said Octagon hired other professionals to fix the plumbing and cover the basement in new vinyl click flooring, and wrote that they would not hire Octagon. **Strengths:** - Deck replacement — a customer said Todd and his crew replaced their deck - Progress updates — a customer said Todd sent updates and pictures of progress - A neat worksite — a customer said the crew kept a very neat worksite **Concerns:** - Slow flood rebuild — a homeowner said 6 to 8 weeks stretched to 5 months - Bathroom rebuild communication — a customer said Chris made very little effort to communicate ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Describes itself as a reconstruction contractor in Maine and New Hampshire, rebuilding homes after structural damage _(confidence: high)_ - [Official Website](https://octagonconstructionandenergy.com) — “About (self-reported, verbatim): At Octagon Construction & Energy, we act as a reconstruction contractor in Maine & New Hampshire, focused o…” - A customer said Todd and his crew replaced a deck at their home and recommended him to their HOA _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2xCMlNuWlJNVVZ4T0dOQ01tTm5abXBTZUVOUU9XYxAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x6b6aa298b86e8d0!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOlB2SnZRMUVxOGNCMmNnZmpSeENQOWc%7C%7C?hl=en) — “5★ Todd and his crew were incredibly responsive, timely, professional and skilled when replacing a deck at my home.
