# Odds & Ends Handyman Service **Trade:** Handyman · **Address:** 22 Bertuccio Ave, Salem, MA 01970, USA · **Phone:** (978) 741-2121 · **Website:** http://www.oddsandendshandyman.com/ · **Languages:** English **Rating: 4.5/5** (high confidence) — from 58 reviews across 6 sources. 98% of sentiment-scored reviews read net-positive. Last 6 months: 1 reviews, 0 negative. ## The honest read Odds & Ends Handyman Service, run by owner Cliff Goodman, provides handyman, remodeling, and masonry-related work for residential and commercial customers in the Salem and Peabody, Massachusetts area. The company holds a Better Business Bureau A+ grade and a 4.9-star Google average from 67 ratings. The written review history is unusually deep — dozens of five-star reviews stretching from 2018 through 2026 — and consistently praises detailed, proactive communication and careful, durable work. Recent 2026 reviews describe a backyard deck replacement with clear step-by-step pricing options, a basement wall transformation from old wallpaper to panel sheets, and a bathroom touch-up covering painting, cabinets, and light fixtures. In a 2019 review, one client noted Cliff had been their handyman for over a decade across many jobs inside and outside the house. Across the years, reviewers describe deck and porch repairs, door and frame fixes, painting, flooring, cabinet work, and, in a 2021 review, insulation removal and drywall installation in a basement. A 2024 Reddit thread recommending local contractors named Cliff at Odds & Ends as its handyman pick. Worth asking about before booking: a 2018 Google review describes a missed appointment despite repeated assurances of arrival, and a separate 2024 Reddit post from someone else describes being given a quote and then not hearing back — worth confirming scheduling and follow-up directly, especially against an otherwise near-unanimous five-star record. For homeowners in the Salem/Peabody area needing anything from small repairs to a deck rebuild or room refresh, the volume and consistency of this review history is a strong signal, with recent activity (3 reviews in the last six months) showing no new complaints. **Strengths:** - Deep review history — dozens of five-star reviews spanning 2018 to 2026 - Deck and porch expertise — repeatedly praised for rebuilds and repairs - Detailed communication — reviewers cite clear pricing options, prompt updates **Concerns:** - Isolated no-show reports — a 2018 review and a 2024 Reddit post both describe missed appointments - Wide project range — jobs span many trades rather than one specialty **Where sources disagree:** - A 2024 Reddit post describing a missed quote appointment stands out against an otherwise near-unanimous five-star review record. ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Provides handyman, remodeling, and masonry-related services for residential and commercial customers in the Salem and Peabody, MA areas. _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](http://www.oddsandendshandyman.com) — “Odds & Ends Handyman Service provides handyman, remodeling, and masonry-related services for residential and commercial customers in the Sal…” - 4.9-star average from 67 Google ratings; A+ Better Business Bureau grade. _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://maps.google.com/?cid=1163659712891662338&g_mp=CiVnb29nbGUubWFwcy5wbGFjZXMudjEuUGxhY2VzLkdldFBsYWNlEAIYBCAA) — “Google: 4.9★ from 67 ratings” - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ma/salem/profile/handyman/odds-ends-handyman-service-0021-474746) — “Better Business Bureau grade: A+” - 2026 reviews describe a backyard deck replacement with detailed pricing options, a basement wall transformation, and a bathroom touch-up covering painting, cabinets, and light fixtures. _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT21KVlEyaHJPVFpRZDFaYU5sTlhVbEEzYldsaVdGRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x10262657f2573002!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOmJVQ2hrOTZQd1ZaNlNXUlA3bWliWFE%7C%7C?hl=en) — “5★ Cliff and his crew were absolutely incredible in replacing our worn out backyard deck.
