## The honest read

Oldham Wood is a Murphy bed maker in Salisbury, NH. Its website says it has been custom-designing Murphy Beds for more than 15 years, and its BBB grade is A+.

A Google customer says they paid in full in late November, but the bed was never delivered; two days before the final delivery date, the owner said he had made the wrong unit, and the customer got their $6K+ back through their credit card company. A 2026 Google customer says Michael agreed to a job, took the deposit and did not deliver, and has not returned the deposit after many attempts.

A 2024 customer said Michael created and installed a Murphy Door for their space. A 2023 customer said Michael, the owner, installed their Murphy bed on the date they agreed upon. In that 2023 review, the customer said he called a couple of days later wanting to finish a couple of things, and that he came up to the home, about 100 miles from his place of business, to put a few finishing touches on the bed.

A 2023 customer across the country said Oldham Wood had their custom Murphy bed shipped, and it arrived with the parts, pieces and instructions for assembly. A 2023 buyer of a solid pine Murphy bed kit said several items came pre-installed. A 2023 customer with a cherry Murphy bed thanked the company for remote phone support during their installation. A 2023 customer wrote that the work went as planned and stayed within budget.

**Strengths:**
- Murphy door install — a 2024 customer said Michael created and installed one
- Agreed install date — a 2023 customer said the owner installed on that date
- Remote install support — a 2023 customer thanked them for phone support
- Within budget — a 2023 customer said the work stayed within budget

**Concerns:**
- Undelivered paid bed — a recent customer paid in full, bed never delivered
- Deposit not returned — a recent customer says the deposit is still unreturned
