The company reports over 20 years of experience, and BBB records show it in business since 2001 under owner Glenn Richardson. Omega HVAC is BBB accredited with an A+ rating and no complaints or government actions on file. Building permit records show a steady, ongoing track record of work — 33 permitted HVAC projects since 2014, spanning furnace and heat pump installations, ductwork, and central air conditioning systems across dozens of Massachusetts towns. The one customer review on file, from a BBB reviewer, described the company as bringing "professionalism, knowledge" and a "more than fair price" to a same-day central air repair call. The company holds no state contractor license because, per BuildZoom's January 2021 verification, HVAC work of this kind does not require one in Massachusetts — this is a verified regulatory status, not a gap in credentials. One thing to note: while the permit history is deep, only a single written customer review is on file, so a prospective client has less direct customer feedback to go on than the project history alone suggests. Anyone considering Omega HVAC for a heating or cooling job can reasonably expect a business with a long-standing local presence and a clean regulatory record, and it's worth asking for a few recent references given the thin review count. **Strengths:** - BBB A+ accredited — accredited status, A+ rating, no complaints on file - Deep permit history — 33 permitted HVAC projects on record since 2014 - Praised for fair pricing — a reviewer cited professionalism, knowledge, and a fair price **Concerns:** - Thin review volume — only one customer review on file despite two decades in business ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - A locally owned and operated Saugus, MA HVAC contractor providing residential and commercial heating and air conditioning installation, repair, and maintenance. _(confidence: high)_ - [Official Website](https://www.omegahvacma.com) — “A locally owned and operated Saugus, MA HVAC contractor providing residential and commercial heating and air conditioning installation, repa…” - [Official Website](https://www.omegahvacma.com) — “Ownership (self-reported): Locally owned and operated” - Reports over 20 years of experience in the trade. _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](https://www.omegahvacma.com) — “Self-reported 20 years in business” - BBB accredited business with an A+ rating and no complaints or government actions on file. _(confidence: high)_ - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ma/saugus/profile/heating-and-air-conditioning/omega-hvac-0021-138446) — “Better Business Bureau: accredited / certified / member” - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ma/saugus/profile/heating-and-air-conditioning/omega-hvac-0021-138446) — “Better Business Bureau grade: A+” - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ma/saugus/profile/heating-and-air-conditioning/omega-hvac-0021-138446) — “BBB A+ accredited profile for Omega HVAC (77 Jasper St, Saugus, MA), a sole proprietorship owned by Glenn Richardson, in business since 2001…” - BBB records the business as a sole proprietorship owned by Glenn Richardson, operating since 2001. _(confidence: high)_ - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ma/saugus/profile/heating-and-air-conditioning/omega-hvac-0021-138446) — “BBB A+ accredited profile for Omega HVAC (77 Jasper St, Saugus, MA), a sole proprietorship owned by Glenn Richardson, in business since 2001…” - Carries no Massachusetts contractor license because BuildZoom verified in January 2021 that this type of HVAC work does not require one. _(confidence: medium)_ - [BuildZoom](https://www.buildzoom.com/contractor/omega-hvac-saugus-ma) — “Licence listed on BuildZoom: License Not Required — Status: Not Required (BuildZoom verified in January 2021 that this contractor does not n…” - 33 permitted HVAC projects on record since 2014, including furnace, heat pump, ductwork, and central air conditioning installations across Massachusetts. _(confidence: high)_ - [BuildZoom](https://www.buildzoom.com/contractor/omega-hvac-saugus-ma) — “33 project(s) shown on BuildZoom” - [BuildZoom](https://www.buildzoom.com/contractor/omega-hvac-saugus-ma) — “A BuildZoom profile for Omega HVAC (77 Jasper St, Saugus, MA) showing a BuildZoom score of 99, no license required per BuildZoom's January 2…” - In a BBB review, a customer described a same-day central air repair, calling the technician's professionalism and knowledge and a "more than fair price". _(confidence: high)_ - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ma/saugus/profile/heating-and-air-conditioning/omega-hvac-0021-138446) — “Called yesterday and REMOVEDand his assistant came out today to fix my fathers central air.
