On its Better Business Bureau page the company describes its work as custom cabinets, granite and corian countertops, and kitchen and bath remodeling. A 2026 customer said they had a complete bath remodel and that the job kept to the planned schedule. A 2025 customer described the renovation of a kitchen and a half bath, plus painting of two more rooms in an older home, and said the project was completed ahead of schedule. A 2025 customer wrote that a kitchen renovation combined several rooms, raised a ceiling and raised a floor, and said the project finished on time and on budget. A 2024 customer said Josh and team gutted and remodeled the kitchen, entry way and family room, and came up with a new floor plan that two architects and other builders had not. A 2023 customer described a second-level full dormer that included adding a bathroom and working with a wonky roofline. That 2023 customer said the crew was on time every day once the permits cleared. A 2023 customer said the kitchen was completed in 7 weeks. A 2022 customer said the company built a stenciled concrete patio and designed drainage that dried up the basement as well. A recent customer said one half of a bathroom door was not painted because of a misunderstanding; he promised to send one of his workers, and more than four months later no one had come and he never responded. That customer advises making sure everything on the punch list is done before the final payment. A Daily Mail Online article has covered a New England development of modern farmhouse-style homes thrown into chaos over fears that bodies are buried under the construction site. On Google the company carries 4.7 stars from 19 ratings, and the Better Business Bureau grades it A+. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0606430, as active, held by Onofrio's Total Construction LLC. **Strengths:** - A kitchen renovation — a 2025 customer said it finished on time and on budget - A bath remodel — a 2026 customer said it kept to the planned schedule - A dormer addition — a 2023 customer said it included adding a bathroom **Concerns:** - An unpainted door — a recent customer said a promised return visit never came ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - BuildZoom profile says it serves Branford, Connecticut and the surrounding region and has been active for over two decades _(confidence: medium)_ - [BuildZoom](https://www.buildzoom.com/contractor/onofrios-total-construction-llc) — “About (BuildZoom profile, verbatim): Serving Branford, Connecticut and the surrounding region, Onofrio's Total Construction LLC has been act…” - Describes its work as custom cabinets, granite and corian countertops, and kitchen and bath remodeling _(confidence: medium)_ - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ct/north-haven/profile/general-contractor/onofrios-total-construction-llc-0111-24000443) — “About (Better Business Bureau, self-described): Onofrio's Total Construction LLC custom cabinets, granite & corian countertops; kitchen & ba…” - A 2026 customer said a complete bath remodel kept to the planned schedule _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT25OSFkyRmZaM3BSUmxveVdUQTBjR1I1TmtKcFdrRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x5330b7cfb5232586!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOnNHY2FfZ3pRRloyWTA0cGR5NkJpWkE%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ We just had a complete bath remodel - they were all really great to work with, kept to the planned schedule and the quality of the work e…” - A 2025 customer said a kitchen renovation that raised a ceiling and a floor finished on time and on budget _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2pWNVQxVXRUVU5RVGxWWUxUa3dOMkpUVDNRdGFsRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x5330b7cfb5232586!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOjV5T1UtTUNQTlVYLTkwN2JTT3QtalE%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ 5-star rating and then some.
