A September 2024 reviewer wrote that the crew arrived at 8:45 am, exactly when promised, and installed 115 feet of fence by 1:45 pm. In November 2025 a customer had a 6-foot PVC fence installed around the perimeter of a backyard, and in October 2025 a customer called the cost of new cedar fencing reasonable. A September 2025 reviewer had a spacing issue between a slanted driveway and the bottom of the fence; the company came up with a solution and installed it a week later, with Dave as foreman. In October 2026 a reviewer who needed an 8 ft span with a gate said the visitor promised to be in contact, the office said he would call back, and the reviewer never heard back. In September 2025 a customer asking about resetting a sagging gate was told twice they could do it themselves, and the office would not give a price. A June 2022 reviewer said installation came 6+ months after the layout and full payment and left an uneven fence that keeps needing repairs. In September 2022 a customer said they had called 3 times since a June 3rd estimate and never heard back. In August 2024 a reviewer said the fence went in roughly 2 feet in front of the marked line; when asked, the company said there were too many rocks there. A December 2021 reviewer said estimator Bob was 2.5 hours late and the estimate for half a fence on a 0.25-acre lot came back at $14,000, against two others under $7,000. A June 2022 r/connecticut commenter called Orange Fence outrageously expensive. In July 2022 a reviewer said the woman who answered the phone snapped at them, cut them off and hung up. An April 2022 customer described the front desk as rude, and another that month said Rick at the counter charged a 10% restocking fee to return stock fence panels that did not fit. In September 2023 a reviewer said the woman helping them was rude. The Orange company's Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0535641, is active on the state registry. **Strengths:** - Same-day install — 115 feet done 8:45 to 1:45 in 2024 - Gate automation — October 2026 system replaced with motor upgrade - Active CT registration — HIC.0535641 active on the state registry **Concerns:** - Follow-up — 2022 and 2026 customers never heard back - Repair requests — 2025 sagging-gate customer told to do it themselves - Fence placement — 2024 fence set 2 feet off the marked line - Office manner — 2022–2023 customers describe rude phone and counter staff ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - An October 2026 reviewer said the company replaced their gate automation system and upgraded the motors _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT25Vd1FWQkZPVWR4WVZWbk1uUlBUM1I2TkRCZmJsRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x9a49605e8c3b37!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOnUwQVBFOUdxYVVnMnRPT3R6NDBfblE%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ Orange Fence replaced my gate automation system and upgreaded the motors, The equipment is top quality, the installation is neat, profes…” - A September 2024 reviewer said the crew arrived at 8:45 am as promised and installed 115 feet of fence by 1:45 pm _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sChZDSUhNMG9nS0VJQ0FnSURIN2VDdEJBEAE!2m1!1s0x0:0x9a49605e8c3b37!3m1!1s2@1:CIHM0ogKEICAgIDH7eCtBA%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ From ordering the fence at the office; thank you Brian!; on the promised delivery date, the experience was flawless.
