--- title: "Orwal Carpentry & Services LLC" description: "Rather than replace a large front column, Rene of Orwal Carpentry & Services repaired it so it looked better than the original, a June 2026 Google reviewer" doc_version: "2026-10-19" last_updated: "2026-10-19" --- # Orwal Carpentry & Services LLC **Trade:** Carpentry · **Address:** 29 Scofield Ave #2, Stamford, CT 06906 · **Phone:** (203) 850-8115 · **Website:** http://www.orwalcarpentry.com/ · **Languages:** English, Spanish **Rating: 4.4/5** (medium confidence) — from 19 reviews across 7 sources. 100% of sentiment-scored reviews read net-positive. Last 6 months: 7 reviews, 0 negative. ## The honest read Rather than replace a large front column, Rene of Orwal Carpentry & Services repaired it so it looked better than the original, a June 2026 Google reviewer writes, and fixed an attic door that had been a problem for years while he was there. The Stamford carpentry company says it has 20 years in business and works across Fairfield and Westchester County, and it holds 5 stars from 19 Google ratings plus 5.0 from 4 on both Angi and HomeAdvisor, with written reviews from 2021 to 2026. The work customers describe ranges well beyond trim. Recent reviews cover a garage door frame, repainting a house's siding with repairs, a kitchen renovation with modified closets and new front porch railings, and, for one couple who hired the company for two large jobs and are hiring it again, a whole roof and a large deck. In a July 2024 review, a homeowner described cedar shingles on a Victorian replaced with cedar clapboard, Azek panels and millwork with glued joints, plus three third-floor windows installed with careful scaffolding. A December 2022 customer had a rotting wooden front porch replaced with Trex, with the sides of the steps mitered as a touch they had not expected. Several reviewers mention pricing they found reasonable or fair, and several mention a clean work area at the end of each day. A January 2025 customer wrote that the crew offered to drive 30 minutes to pick up lumber and doors from a lumber yard at no charge. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0653243, is active, held by Orwal Carpentry & Services LLC. **Strengths:** - Repair over replace — a June 2026 reviewer's column was repaired, not replaced - Decks and porches — reviews describe a large deck and a Trex porch - Fair pricing — several reviewers call prices reasonable or fair - Tidy job sites — several reviewers note daily cleanup ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Connecticut home improvement contractor registration HIC.0653243 is active, held by Orwal Carpentry & Services LLC _(confidence: high)_ - [State License Registry](https://www.elicense.ct.gov/Lookup/LicenseLookup.aspx) — “CT hic license HIC.0653243 registry-verified active — registry holder of record: ORWAL CARPENTRY & SERVICES LLC” - 5 stars from 19 Google ratings, and 5.0 from 4 ratings each on Angi and HomeAdvisor _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=Orwal%20Carpentry%20%26%20Services%20LLC&query_place_id=ChIJj3Cv-UefwokRRNPIevLfh8A) — “Google: 5★ from 19 ratings” - [HomeAdvisor](https://www.homeadvisor.com/rated.OrwalCarpentryServices.157290297.html) — “HomeAdvisor: 5.0★ from 4 ratings” - [Angi](https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ct/stamford/orwal-carpentry-services-llc-reviews-2.htm) — “Angi: 5.0★ from 4 ratings” - A June 2026 reviewer said Rene repaired a large front column instead of replacing it and fixed a long-standing attic door problem _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2xGTVUwaGpZamM0Tm1ZelVrOXJlbWRMY0dWVWJWRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0xc087dff27ac8d344!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOlFMU0hjYjc4NmYzUk9remdLcGVUbVE%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ I was searching for a reliable carpenter to replace a large column in the front of my house.
