## The honest read

Wallpaper off, walls and ceilings repaired, skim coat over just about the whole house — then exterior projects and repainting. That is one New Bedford homeowner's running list from May 2025, and it is the shape of most of what people hire Pano's Home Pros for: the surfaces, done properly, and then whatever else the house needs.

The company works from Purchase St in New Bedford, and its site says it is led by J.C. Pano, a Massachusetts and Rhode Island home improvement contractor with 12-plus years of hands-on work. It claims a service area across southeastern Massachusetts — New Bedford, Dartmouth, Fairhaven, Fall River, Middleborough and the towns around them — and describes whole-house remodeling from kitchens and baths through roofing, siding and the mechanical trades. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active, held by Panos Home Pros, LLC; BuildZoom gives that registration an issue date of 17 October 2025.

Carlos is the name customers use. In an October 2025 review a homeowner thanked Carlos and his team — Jose, Max, Joel and Ana — by name for a bathroom renovation, calling them respectful and trustworthy. A September 2025 customer described smooth, high-quality drywall finishes delivered on time. In May 2025 another had a 50-year-old bathroom remodeled and said the crew helped work out a new layout and pick tiles and fixtures that suited the room. A February 2024 New Bedford customer had drywall, taping, painting and a kitchen remodel done as one job.

Money and scope come up in a useful way. A November 2023 customer said the company sticks to its timelines, made mid-job adjustments without hassle and — in his words — does not upcharge halfway through. A July 2023 reviewer called the pricing fair and said Carlos answers messages quickly. A May 2023 customer had two 10-by-11 bedroom ceilings installed faster than estimated.

People come back: an October 2023 reviewer had drywall, tiling and framed walls done, then had the crew return for a second project skim coating walls and ceilings. A July 2024 customer noted the team speaks two languages. Fifteen Google ratings sit at five stars, and the company appears in the Rhode Island Hispanic Chamber's business directory.

Pano's Home Pros is a strong call around New Bedford for drywall, skim coating and plaster repair, and for a bathroom or kitchen where the finish is the point. Get the scope and the change-order terms in writing up front — these reviews describe mid-job adjustments being absorbed, and you want yours on paper.

**Strengths:**
- Named crew — Carlos with Jose, Max, Joel and Ana cited by customers
- Whole-house skim coating — walls and ceilings repaired and refinished throughout
- No mid-job upcharge — a 2023 customer praised the price holding through changes
- Bathroom layouts — helped a 2025 customer redesign a 50-year-old bathroom
- Ahead of estimate — two bedroom ceilings finished faster than quoted, 2023
- Bilingual crew — a 2024 reviewer noted the team speaks two languages
