## The honest read

Paquette Pools & Spas describes itself as a family-owned business for custom pool installations, spas and pool supplies, and says it has been in business 69 years. A unionleader.com article has quoted co-owner Bud Paquette at the shop in Hooksett. Its BBB grade is A+, and Google shows 4.3 stars from 75 ratings.

A recent customer who used the company from 2022 to 2026 for a heater, filter, pump and salt cell, plus every opening and closing, said getting service was a constant struggle, often calling and emailing the service manager, Ryan, five or more times over several weeks. That recent customer wrote that when they suspected an air leak, they were told the company was too busy and had to hire another company to look at it. A recent customer said they were given the wrong chemicals for their pool size.

A 2025 customer said Jenna in the showroom explained owning a hot tub, and that Patrick and a coworker put the hot tub on their deck and explained how to get it up and running. A 2024 customer wrote that Paquette installed a 20/40 in-ground pool in their yard in 1974, and that Kevin Paquette and his crew had just installed their 2nd or 3rd liner and replaced all outdated parts in the pool. A 2024 reviewer said Kevin Paquette and his team installed their in-ground pool liner two years earlier and the service team had helped at short notice multiple times. A 2022 reviewer said the company took out a liner, replaced it with a new one and smoothed out all the surfaces.

A 2023 customer said the company helped with a hot tub repair after months of finding no help from other companies. A 2022 customer whose hot tub, bought new from Paquette less than two years earlier, was down around 5 weeks described unanswered messages and a wrong part shipped by the manufacturer. In an update, that 2022 customer said the new board was installed and they were satisfied with the outcome. A 2025 customer said they could not reach anyone by phone and got no response to a message until days later.

**Strengths:**
- Liner replacement — a 2024 customer said Kevin Paquette's crew replaced outdated parts too
- Hot tub delivery — a 2025 customer said Patrick set it on their deck
- Hot tub repair — a 2023 customer said they helped when other companies would not

**Concerns:**
- Slow service response — a recent customer chased the service manager for weeks
- Wrong chemicals — a recent customer was given the wrong chemicals for their pool
- Unreturned phone message — a 2025 customer got no response until days later
- Warranty repair delay — a 2022 customer's hot tub was down around 5 weeks
