The company says it serves Southington, Cheshire, Bristol and most surrounding towns, and it holds 5 stars from 38 Google ratings. A recent customer said Richard took down a century-old American elm lost to Dutch elm disease, a job that involved coordinating with the neighbors, and even fluffed the grass after driving his trucks off it. A recent customer said a row of overgrown hemlocks came out with the stumps ground and removed, and a large maple was pruned. A recent customer with a cracked tree said Rich shuffled jobs to come out days after the quote, worked alongside a co-worker named Dave, and left everything cleaned up. A 2025 customer said Richard Ferreira removed a large oak that was endangering the house, the street and power lines, coordinating with the town for police traffic control. A 2023 customer said an 80-foot pine that uprooted in a storm was removed the day after the winds died down, with no damage to the lawn. A 2023 customer said Rich trimmed and fertilized a hickory, installed cabling on the branch holding a swing, and ground a stump on a second tree. A 2022 customer said it took some time to hear back from Richard, and that the two days of clearing for solar panels used climbing and a bucket truck, with the wood stacked neatly at the end. **Strengths:** - A large elm removal — a recent customer said neighbors were coordinated clearly - Quick hazard response — a recent customer said Rich came days after quoting - Hickory cabling — a 2023 customer said a swing branch was made safe **Concerns:** - A slow callback — a 2022 customer said hearing back took some time ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Google: 5 stars from 38 ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=Passion%20For%20Trees%20LLC&query_place_id=ChIJVVVVVQW354kRnmucUzr1-ZU) — “Google: 5★ from 38 ratings” - The company says it serves Southington, Cheshire, Bristol and most surrounding towns _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](https://www.passionfortrees.com) — “About (self-reported, verbatim): We Are Licensed Arborists in the state of CT so we can legally advise you if a tree is dangerous and may ha…” - Took down a century-old American elm lost to Dutch elm disease _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT200eGNrOHlUV2x5Um10YVFVZGZSRk5sTlVScFFXYxAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x95f9f53a539c6b9e!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOm4xck8yTWlyRmtaQUdfRFNlNURpQWc%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ We've worked with several tree companies and arborists in the past, and Richard is the most professional, knowledgeable, and personable w…” - Removed overgrown hemlocks with stump grinding and pruned a large maple _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2w5T1lYcE1aMGN4VlVkRGN6UTBiM1l4TUZoMGJYYxAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x95f9f53a539c6b9e!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOl9OYXpMZ0cxVUdDczQ0b3YxMFh0bXc%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ We needed a row of overgrown hemlocks removed with stumps ground and removed, as well as a large maple tree pruned.
