## The honest read

Pepin's Tree Service LLC describes itself as a tree care company working throughout Eastern Connecticut since 2012, providing tree services to homeowners and businesses. On Google it carries a 4.8-star rating from 32 ratings.

A customer whose tree split at the base in a storm said other local tree services never showed up, while Steve came out that day and had his crew out the next morning to take it down. A customer said they removed two trees and trimmed two more, said one of the trees was very close to power lines, and said the yard was cleaned up. A customer who had trees removed said the work was done safely and everything was cleaned up afterward.

A 2025 customer said Pepin's dropped two big oaks and a dead pine, the largest oak directly over a garden shed, in less than 6 hours. A 2023 customer said Steve Pepin and his crew removed six trees and trimmed two others over two days, using ropes on other branches to keep the pieces away from the house and chipping the small and medium branches. A 2023 customer said Steven Pepin helped hang a tree swing on a branch that was too high for the family to reach, and would not accept more money. A 2022 customer said a seven-tree removal job ran about a week off and on, and that Steve Pepin communicated about the job status and schedule changes.

A 2023 customer said Pepin's did not show up for a scheduled appointment and did not call.
