# Performance Plumbing And Heating, Inc. **Trade:** Plumbing · **Address:** 9 Bramble Rd, Medway, MA 02053, USA · **Phone:** (617) 438-7053 · **Website:** https://www.performance-ph.com/ · **Languages:** English **Rating: 2.8/5** (low confidence) — from 1 reviews across 6 sources. ## The honest read Performance Plumbing and Heating is a Medway, MA plumbing, heating and air-conditioning contractor built around commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical and medical work — piping, steam fitting and VRF systems. Established in 1998 as a one-person shop, it describes itself as a union signatory contractor with Pipefitters Local 537 and Plumbers Local 12 in Boston. There's very little customer-facing feedback to judge day-to-day residential work by. The one Google review on file, from 2022, is a bare one-star warning with no specifics beyond "don't walk away, RUN". On the commercial side, BuildZoom's permit history shows 52 projects, mostly municipal and commercial boiler and mechanical work across eastern Massachusetts. The state registry shows the plumbing business license tied to this company (#3455-GF-M, held by Eric A Johnson) as expired. BuildZoom's own listing shows that same license number as active with an expiration it puts around May 2026 — the two sources disagree about the same license's current status, and the state registry check is the authoritative one. A separate Master Plumber registration (#12791) is claimed on BBB and the company's own site but wasn't independently verified. Given the thin public record and the conflicting license read, ask directly to see current, verifiable license documentation before hiring for a residential job. **Strengths:** - Deep commercial resume — 52 permitted projects, mostly boiler/mechanical work - Union signatory — Pipefitters Local 537 and Plumbers Local 12, per its own site **Concerns:** - Expired license — state registry shows the plumbing business license lapsed - One sharp warning — a 2022 review calls the company "awful," no detail given **Where sources disagree:** - The state registry shows license #3455-GF-M as expired, while BuildZoom's own listing shows the same license number active with an expiration around May 2026 — the two disagree about the same license's status. ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Serves commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical and medical clients with piping, steam fitting and VRF systems _(confidence: high)_ - [Official Website](https://www.performance-ph.com) — “A Medway, MA plumbing, heating and air conditioning contractor serving commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical and medical projects, includin…” - Established in 1998 as a one-person operation _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](https://www.performance-ph.com) — “Company history (self-reported): Established in 1998 as a one-man operation and since grown into a comprehensive plumbing, heating and air c…” - BuildZoom's permit history shows 52 projects, largely commercial and municipal boiler and mechanical work across eastern Massachusetts _(confidence: medium)_ - [BuildZoom](https://www.buildzoom.com/contractor/performance-plumbing-and-heating-inc) — “BuildZoom profile for Performance Plumbing & Heating of Medway, MA showing a proprietary BuildZoom score of 100, 52 permitted projects (most…” - The state registry shows the plumbing business license (#3455-GF-M), held by Eric A Johnson, as expired _(confidence: high)_ - [State License Registry](https://occupationallicensingandpermitting.mass.gov/madol/s/license-search-page) — “MA plumber license 3455-GF-M registry-verified expired — registry holder of record: Eric A Johnson” - In a 2022 review, a customer left a one-star warning with no specifics beyond urging others to avoid the company _(confidence: low)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sChZDSUhNMG9nS0VJQ0FnSUR1d0lHNUVnEAE!2m1!1s0x0:0x634b14f5e1915146!3m1!1s2@1:CIHM0ogKEICAgIDuwIG5Eg%7C%7C?hl=en) — “1★ Awful don't walk away RUN” - BBB lists a Master Plumber registration (#12791) for the company, not independently verified against the state registry _(confidence: medium)_ - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ma/medway/profile/plumber/performance-plumbing-and-heating-inc-0021-87757) — “Licence listed on Better Business Bureau: Master Plumber, registration #12791, issued by the Massachusetts Board of State Examiners of Plumb…” - Performs commercial boiler and mechanical work _(confidence: medium)_ - [BuildZoom](https://www.buildzoom.com/contractor/performance-plumbing-and-heating-inc) — “BuildZoom profile for Performance Plumbing & Heating of Medway, MA showing a proprietary BuildZoom score of 100, 52 permitted projects (most…” - Installs VRF HVAC systems _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](https://www.performance-ph.com) — “A Medway, MA plumbing, heating and air conditioning contractor serving commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical and medical projects, includin…” - Specializes in Plumbing _(confidence: high)_ - [Official Website](https://www.performance-ph.com) — “A Medway, MA plumbing, heating and air conditioning contractor serving commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical and medical projects, includin…” - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ma/medway/profile/plumber/performance-plumbing-and-heating-inc-0021-87757) — “Services offered (Better Business Bureau): Plumber” - Specializes in HVAC / Heating & Cooling _(confidence: high)_ - [Official Website](https://www.performance-ph.com) — “A Medway, MA plumbing, heating and air conditioning contractor serving commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical and medical projects, includin…” - [BuildZoom](https://www.buildzoom.com/contractor/performance-plumbing-and-heating-inc) — “Services offered (BuildZoom): HVAC, Sheet Metal Work, Mechanical Work” - [BuildZoom](https://www.buildzoom.com/contractor/performance-plumbing-and-heating-inc) — “BuildZoom profile for Performance Plumbing & Heating of Medway, MA showing a proprietary BuildZoom score of 100, 52 permitted projects (most…” ## Ownership - **Certified woman-owned** — verified against Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office (WBE #20240026, verified 2026-08-12).
