## The honest read

Pesantez Roofing LLC describes itself as a locally owned roofing, chimney and gutter contractor serving Waterbury, CT and surrounding areas, and says it has been in business 20 years. It holds 4.6 stars from 67 Google ratings and an A+ grade with the BBB.

A recent customer said Miguel Soto inspected the roof and attic within a few days and confirmed a leak around the chimney was caused by the flashing; when the new shingles turned out much lighter than the old ones, that customer said Miguel had them changed to a darker shade the next day. A recent customer with storm damage said Javier came out within hours, started on the problem areas immediately, and helped with the insurance claim. A recent customer who hired the company twice said it replaced their roof and gutters. A recent customer wrote that their siding came out as they had pictured it.

In a 2025 review, a customer said Edgar did a needed roof repair, replaced gutters he found were beat up, and installed gutter guards. A 2025 customer said a 31-year-old roof's insurance claim had waited almost a year with a previous contractor, and that it was approved almost immediately after Edgar and his team stepped in. A 2024 customer described removing old aluminum gutter covers, which required taking off layers of shingles and laying new water and ice shield membrane and new shingles. A 2024 customer said Miguel took drone photos of storm damage for the insurance claim and the roof was done in one day.

A 2024 customer wrote that the company had charged over $65,000 on a project it never finished, used indoor untreated wood on an outdoor project, and left a replacement window sitting outside waiting to be installed. A 2024 customer said no one showed up for a pre-scheduled estimate appointment and no one called. A 2025 reviewer in Rhode Island said a flyer was left on their door despite a no-solicitation sign.
