On its Angi and HomeAdvisor profiles, the company describes itself as locally owned and operated, with a team that has over 12 years of hands-on experience. Its website says clients work directly with the people actually doing the work. In 2025, Mladen led a large-scale renovation of a home, was flexible as the design was adapted throughout the process, and came back for spot repairs after the project was completely paid and the contract finished. In a 2024 review, he did a full renovation of a master bathroom and was called a phenomenal communicator from start to finish. A 2024 review says Mladen did the full kitchen demo and rebuild at the reviewer's house and completed the work on schedule; its one qualm was that his quote was not usually the cheapest. Another 2024 review recommends Petarson for a large kitchen renovation that requires layout changes or design help. In 2024, Petarson served as the general contractor on a basement renovation, and that review calls Mladen and his workers reliable and punctual. In 2024, Mladen and his team renovated a condominium in Allston, covering carpentry, floors, patching, painting, cabinets, appliances and light fixtures; that review says he gave accurate cost estimates and timelines, that issues after the renovation were followed up on, and that roof work and chimney repairs at other houses also went well. A 2024 review says gutters and doors were replaced quickly. In 2024, a property manager wrote that Mladen had helped with many projects over the years. A 2024 review describes a full house renovation and a final product the customer was very happy with. A 2020 review calls him friendly, open minded and a good communicator. The company holds 5 stars from 19 Google ratings and 4.8 stars from 3 ratings each on Angi and HomeAdvisor. **Strengths:** - Kitchen rebuilds — full demo and rebuild finished on schedule in 2024 - Follow-up repairs — came back for spot repairs after a 2025 renovation - Accurate estimates — cost estimates and timelines held on a 2024 condo job - Clear communication — a phenomenal communicator on a 2024 bathroom renovation **Concerns:** - Quote pricing — not usually the cheapest, per a 2024 review ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Massachusetts home improvement contractor licence 203094, active on the state registry _(confidence: high)_ - [State License Registry](https://contractorhub.mass.gov/s/hic-contractor-search) — “MA hic license 203094 registry-verified active — registry holder of record: PETARSON RENOVATIONS LLC” - Describes itself as locally owned and operated, with over 12 years of hands-on experience _(confidence: medium)_ - [HomeAdvisor](https://www.homeadvisor.com/rated.PetarsonRenovationsLLC.64408240.html) — “About (HomeAdvisor, self-described): Petarson Renovations, LLC is a locally owned and operated company that values honesty and integrity in …” - [Angi](https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ma/ashland/petarson-renovations-llc-reviews-1.htm) — “About (Angi, self-described): Petarson Renovations, LLC is a locally owned and operated company that values honesty and integrity in all asp…” - Led a large-scale home renovation in 2025 and came back for spot repairs after the contract finished _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sChZDSUhNMG9nS0VJQ0FnTURJMHREREdBEAE!2m1!1s0x0:0xb5f0af851f5a488e!3m1!1s2@1:CIHM0ogKEICAgMDI0tDDGA%7C%7C?hl=en) — “5★ Mladen led a large-scale renovation of our home, and he was genuinely a pleasure to work with.
