## The honest read

Phil's Main Roofing LLC says on its website that it is a family-owned residential and commercial roofing company with a history dating back to 1948, working in Norwalk, Stamford, Fairfield and other Connecticut towns. A recent Google customer had Phil's out for repair and roof replacement, both flat and pitched, in Stamford CT, and was satisfied with the work and the price. Its BBB grade is A+.

A recent customer who has used Phil's for over 20 years said he installed the roof on their commercial property and has maintained it since. A 2026 customer said leaking dormers were sealed and there were no further problems.

A 2025 customer had a new roof installed and said the office staff kept them updated, and the crew showed up on time and cleaned up afterward. A 2025 customer said a roof replacement was done on time at a fair price, and that Arthur and his crew cleaned up every night. A 2025 reviewer wrote, almost a year after the roof went on, that there had been no leaks, and that the old roof had several layers to be removed and replaced.

A 2024 customer said Phil's found several sources of a roof leak and made custom flashing to get another contractor's renovation finished. A 2024 customer said they repaired a leak that was causing black mold. A 2024 reviewer who manages a condo complex on the water said they always came fast for emergency roof problems and got the repair done. A 2023 customer described a new roof on an 1889 house whose shingles were 30+ years old, with the crew cleaning up each day with a magnet roller for nails. In a 2021 review, a customer said that after two trees damaged their roof, shingles and gutters, project manager Arthur Montantine organized the people needed to replace the roof, redo the gutters and paint the house.

A 2024 customer with water leaking into the attic from the flashing around the chimney said the seal and flashing were redone and the leak got better but was not fully resolved, and that Andrew followed up about sealing the chimney as a next step.

Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0580429, as active, held by Phil's Main Roofing LLC.
