The customer had lost heat and hot water; RJ responded promptly, traced the problem to a part that needed special ordering, and returned to install it after it arrived. The customer praised his thoroughness, prices and cleanup. Pioneer Plumbing Inc. is based in Washington, Massachusetts. The company says it has been in business for 24 years and is insured. Its Massachusetts plumber license is active. Google shows 4.3 stars from 11 ratings. Other customers described plumbing and heating work over several years. In an August 2025 review, a customer who had used Pioneer for several projects and call-outs praised Dustin’s organization, professionalism and willingness to stand by his work. A July 2025 reviewer recalled losing heat on Christmas Day 2024: RJ came out quickly, and follow-up maintenance was scheduled. In March 2019, another customer described an updated heating system, a new well pump and pressure tank, and help installing a propane tank. A customer writing in April 2024 raised a specific dispute over a deposit and heating-system design. They said the contractor installed a trap, then changed a pre-engineered heating design after saying the boiler was undersized. When the customer declined the new design, the contractor charged the full deposited retention fee, explaining that he wanted payment for time spent on the redesign. The customer said they did not use his design and found another contractor who had no issue using the pre-engineered design. They warned against giving a deposit without clear objectives and expectations. **Strengths:** - Boiler repair — an October 2025 customer described successful diagnosis and parts replacement - Holiday response — a July 2025 reviewer recalled prompt Christmas Day 2024 help - Organized service — an August 2025 customer praised Dustin after several projects **Concerns:** - Deposit dispute — an April 2024 customer reported charges after rejecting a redesign ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - An October 2025 customer said RJ repaired an old boiler after diagnosing the need for a special-order part and returning to install it. _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://maps.google.com/?cid=15835699263893369663&g_mp=CiVnb29nbGUubWFwcy5wbGFjZXMudjEuUGxhY2VzLkdldFBsYWNlEAIYBCAA) — “5★ HIGHLY RECOMMEND PIONEER PLUMBING!
