## The honest read

When a recent customer's tenant building had no heat or hot water, Derek of Precision Heating & Gas Services called the manufacturer to get the part paid for under the warranty. The company's website says it is based in Southern New Hampshire, serves the seacoast and has been family-owned since 1984. On Google it holds 5 stars from 69 ratings.

A recent customer said Derek installed mini splits throughout their house and praised the price. A recent reviewer wrote that Derek installed a home humidifier system, a new furnace and a heat pump. One recent customer had an 18-year-old geothermal system replaced and said the work was done on time and for the price agreed. A recent customer said Derek installed a new Heil furnace and AC condenser unit with minimal downtime. A recent customer waiting on a part for their AC said Derek bought three portable units for them to use.

A 2026 customer with a serious furnace issue said Derek fit them in within hours, assessed the problem and fixed it. A 2025 customer said Derek St. Pierre installed a new gas boiler, a mini split and a hot water circulator. A 2025 customer said Derek St. Pierre moved their gas lines so a gas dryer could go from the basement to the first floor, and coordinated the electrical and plumbing. That 2025 customer said two other estimates were way too high.

A 2024 customer said they had a new boiler put in, two others serviced and an automatic water feeder installed on a steam boiler, and that Derek recommended staying with oil rather than switching to propane. A 2024 customer, who described the business as owned and operated by Derek, said Derek and his partner did two mini split installs. A 2024 customer said Derek fixed plumbing a previous homeowner had done badly and walked them through using and cleaning their mini splits.

Its New Hampshire HVAC licence, number MBE2201449, is expired on the state registry, under the holder name Precision Heating and Gas Service.

**Strengths:**
- Warranty help — a recent customer said Derek got a part covered
- A geothermal replacement — a recent customer said it was on time and on price
- A quick furnace fix — a 2026 customer said Derek came within hours
- A furnace and condenser — a recent customer reported minimal downtime

**Concerns:**
