## The honest read

A recent customer needed a dryer vent hose replaced quickly and said Ivan scheduled them for the next day and arrived early. Prestige HPE says on its website that it serves homeowners, businesses, rental properties and offices within about 40 miles of New Britain, and it lists a service area that includes New Britain, Berlin, Bristol, Southington and West Hartford. It holds 5 stars from 44 Google ratings and 4.8 stars from 52 Thumbtack ratings.

A recent customer said Ivan and his team handled HVAC remediation and ductwork on a very large job during a stressful situation in the home, and documented the work. A recent Thumbtack customer said the house feels cleaner since the duct cleaning. A recent customer said Ivan made sure not to leave any mess after a cleaning.

A 2026 Thumbtack customer said the company cleared a vent in a very old system that "we haven't felt heat from for forever," after a scheduling issue that the two sides worked out. A 2025 Thumbtack customer who wanted a quick dryer clean-out said it became a half-day project installing new ducts, and said they had noticed their laundry drying in half the time. A 2025 customer said Ivan replaced a dryer duct vent in the ceiling to bring it up to code. A 2025 Thumbtack customer said Ivan showed them dirt and mold on their vents, replaced them and provided before and after pictures. A 2025 customer said Irizarry told them they did not need the work they were about to pay for and advised a cheaper way to handle it.

A 2024 customer said Ivan cleaned the air conditioning units and coils in the house and had the best price of 3 companies they compared. A 2024 customer who had bought a home needing a full renovation said Ivan cleaned all the air ducts after construction, along with the dryer vent. A 2025 Thumbtack customer said the owner and his co-worker did a good job on their vents at a good price, though the co-worker was a little too talkative.

**Strengths:**

- Up-front honesty — a 2025 customer was told the paid work was unneeded
- Before-and-after pictures — a 2025 customer said Ivan photographed the vent work
