## The honest read

An in-the-wall leak coming down through a kitchen ceiling, with the water shut off to the whole house: a recent customer in that bind said Shea came out the same day and fixed the problem. Prestige Plumbing Werks lists a service area of Avon, Bristol, Burlington, Canton, Farmington, Harwinton and West Hartford, and says it has been in business four years. On Google it holds 4.9 stars from 439 ratings.

Tyler replaced a water heater for a recent customer, who said he answered their questions and was respectful of the home. Tyler and Bobby installed new tub and shower fixtures and repaired a leaking Jacuzzi tub for a recent customer, who said they helped with ordering new parts from a supplier. A recent customer said Joe came out within 2 hours of the call and cleared the problem in less than an hour. Tyler consulted with the manufacturer to trace the source of a noisy booster pump, a recent customer wrote.

A 2025 customer said their well tank ruptured at 10pm and Tyler came out first thing the next day. That 2025 customer said a job first described as 3 hours turned into 2 days, and called the pricing for the work "more than fair." A 2025 customer said Zac removed old metal pipes and got the plumbing utility room up to code.

A recent customer said they were quoted $1,299 for something another company did for $300. A recent customer was quoted $800 to $900 in labor for a basic new toilet installation. A recent customer said a garbage disposal call was cancelled last minute on a Friday, and that on the Monday visit the quote to replace the disposal was $1,100; that customer asked them to leave. A 2025 customer with town water said they were talked into a water test, paid an extra $100 and never got the results.

**Strengths:**
- Same-day leak repair — Shea fixed an in-wall kitchen ceiling leak that day
- Water heater replacement — Tyler replaced one and answered the customer's questions
- Quick arrival — Joe came out within 2 hours of a recent call

**Concerns:**
- A $1,100 quote — for replacing a garbage disposal, a recent customer said
- Last-minute cancellation — a garbage disposal call was cancelled on a Friday
- Unwanted water test — a 2025 customer paid $100, never got results
