A 2025 customer in Auburn said Pro-Tech installed a central air system in their attic about 7 years earlier and kept the house clean during that job. That 2025 customer said the company later reconfigured the attic ductwork with baffles and a controller to zone off rooms, in a day and a half, and that the owner stopped by to answer questions. A 2025 customer said Pro-Tech did a conversion from oil to gas in their house and called the company very easy to deal with and reasonably priced. A 2025 customer whose AC unit died on one of the hottest days of the summer said Pro-Tech fit them in after other places were booked, and a new part and a tightened wire got the AC working again. A 2025 customer said a technician turned on a valve during a hot water heater replacement and flooded their garage, and that Jason the owner said it was not their fault. That 2025 customer also said the newly replaced hot water heater leaked. A 2026 customer said the quoted hourly labor rate went from $110 to $125 in 11 days and that parts were charged at double the retail price. **Strengths:** - Attic ductwork zoning — a 2025 customer described a day-and-a-half job - An oil-to-gas conversion — a 2025 customer called them reasonably priced - A fit-in AC repair — a 2025 customer was seen when others were booked **Concerns:** - A flooded garage — a 2025 customer blamed a technician for opening a valve - Shifting labor rates — a 2026 customer saw $110 rise to $125 ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Its website lists a service area including Auburn, Portland, Brunswick, Freeport, Gray and Rockland _(confidence: high)_ - [Official Website](http://www.pro-techrefrigeration.com) — “Stated service area (self-reported): Auburn, Brunswick, Casco, Freeport, Gray, Portland, Raymond, Rockland, Winthrop” - A 2025 customer in Auburn described an attic central air install and a later ductwork zoning job done in a day and a half _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sChdDSUhNMG9nS0VNQ0I4ZWlBMDhiODBnRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x7678f9b75023e55d!3m1!1s2@1:CIHM0ogKEMCB8eiA08b80gE%7C%7C?hl=en) — “5★ About 7 years ago we had Pro-Tech Refrigeration install a central air system in the attic of our home in Auburn.
