## The honest read

Purcell Moving Corporation holds a 5-star Google rating across 71 ratings. The company's website says its moves run from starter homes to multi-million-dollar estates and that it offers free estimates.

A recent customer said Shane and his team moved them during a terrible rain storm and covered their furniture to keep it protected from the rain. A recent reviewer wrote that Shane, the owner, gave them a discount because the move took less time than expected. A recent customer said the movers figured out how to move difficult large furniture and assemble furniture that had to be broken down.

A 2026 customer said Shane and his crew moved furniture so their hardwood floors could be refinished, and that they disassembled and reassembled beds. A 2025 customer said that when one truck wasn't big enough, Shane called in his other crew with a second truck, and even emptied a Pods container in the dark. A 2025 customer wrote that a table they were told was almost impossible to move, over 400 pounds, was moved after Purcell presented a few ways to make it work while communicating the risks. A 2025 customer said the final bill came in well under estimate after a move of everything out of both floors for floor refinishing.

A 2024 customer said Shane came to their apartment for a walkthrough before booking, and that the move ran over two days and ended up hundreds below the original quote.

**Strengths:**
- Storm-day furniture cover — a recent customer said furniture was covered against the rain
- An extra truck — a 2025 customer said Shane brought in his other crew
- A 400-pound table — a 2025 customer said Purcell moved it after presenting options
- A below-estimate bill — a 2025 customer said the final bill came in under estimate

**Where sources disagree:**
- A 2025 Google review calls Shane the owner's son, while a recent Google review calls Shane the owner
