## The honest read

Ray's Electric, LLC is an electrical contractor in Redding, with 4.9 stars from 35 ratings on HomeAdvisor and the same on Angi. A 2016 customer said they considered it a plus that Ray was located in Redding.

A 2026 customer who wrote of working as a Project Manager in commercial construction for 20+ years said their phone rang within the hour of leaving a message about work on their home. That 2026 customer said they spoke with Ray on a Tuesday and the work was done by Friday.

In a 2015 review, a customer said Ray gave an estimate and completed the job 4 days later as promised: 2 exterior fixtures, GFI outlets in 3 bathrooms, replaced light switches, and switches the previous owner had wired incorrectly. That 2015 customer said he also installed a new thermostat that was not part of the original estimate and did not charge for the time spent. Another job came up in a different 2015 review, where a customer said Ray installed a generator hookup and a number of outlets in their basement and garage.

A 2018 customer said Ray completed a panel replacement in a timely manner for a fair price during their remodel. A 2020 customer wrote of an emergency visit on the same day, then a second same-day visit a few days later for a similar issue. A 2015 customer, naming Ray Duggan from Ray's electric, said he provided a quotation on the spot and that his pricing was very reasonable.

**Strengths:**
- A quick callback — a 2026 customer said the phone rang within the hour
- Panel replacement — a 2018 customer said it was timely and fairly priced
- An emergency visit — a 2020 customer said someone came out the same day
