A recent Google customer said Steve and his team restored their basement after it flooded. A recent customer said Steve told them what services were needed and didn't try to force them to add extra services.

In a 2025 review, a customer described a washing machine overflow on the third floor of a condo that leaked through the ceiling; Steve came out the next day with dehumidifying units and humidity tests. That 2025 customer said Red Star's portion of the job was the mitigation, pack-out, demolition and pack-in, while other contractors replaced and restained the flooring. A 2025 Thumbtack customer said Steve conducted a thorough inspection for a mold remediation and explained the process in detail. A 2026 customer said Steve had black mold gone fast.
