# Reed Remodeling, Inc. **Trade:** General Contractor / Remodeling · **Address:** 174 Cypress Dr, Brockton, MA · **Phone:** (508) 209-7624 · **Languages:** English **Rating: 3.5/5** (medium confidence) — from 16 reviews across 2 sources. 100% of sentiment-scored reviews read net-positive. Last 6 months: 0 reviews, 0 negative. ## The honest read Reed Remodeling is a Brockton remodeling contractor run by Michael Reed, working on kitchens and bathrooms, decks and porches, interior trim and decorative moldings, painting and staining and tile. It holds Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration 182562, verified active in the state registry, and an active Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office Minority Business Enterprise certification, 20260080, running to May 2029. The written record runs from 2002 to 2022 on one platform, and it is unusually consistent for a span that long. The recent end is a cluster of 2022 jobs: a bathroom whose owner was pleased with the outcome, a house that had not had work done in years where the customer singled out the estimate and the cleanliness, and several accounts of the crew turning up when they said and doing what they said. Mike is named directly as easy to work with. The older accounts describe the same business at plastering and painting scale. A March 2003 customer watched Michael Reed and his crew plaster and prime walls and described him as pleasant and professional. A May 2002 reviewer who had collected more than fifteen quotes chose this one as the fairest for the work required rather than the cheapest. Another that month had a deck refinished and said the crew spent double the expected time to do it fully. A November 2003 customer called an hour after posting a request and had the job done the next day. Two details are worth carrying forward. A May 2002 customer reported a problem and said the company came back to remedy it, with the result appearing perfect afterwards. A November 2003 reviewer, while rating the price good for the volume of wall and ceiling repair, noted paint on the edges of door and window trims that would only be seen by someone looking for it. The practical caveat is the record's shape rather than its content: sixteen accounts on a single platform, the newest from 2022, with nothing written since. Directory listings note free estimates but no warranties and no emergency service. For a bathroom, deck, trim or painting job in the Brockton area, ask for recent local references and put the punch-list process in writing. **Strengths:** - Owner on the tools — Michael Reed named on jobs across two decades - Fair pricing — chosen over fifteen other quotes on value, not price - Coming back — a reported defect returned to and put right - Timely starts — reviewers cite crews arriving as scheduled **Concerns:** - Dated record — sixteen accounts on one platform, newest 2022 - Finish detail — a reviewer noted paint on door and window trim edges - No warranty offered — directory listings state none **Where sources disagree:** - Two Brockton addresses are on file — 174 Cypress Drive and, on the Angi listing, 64 Donna Street. ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Holds Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration 182562, verified active in the state registry under the company's own name. _(confidence: high)_ - [State License Registry](https://contractorhub.mass.gov/s/hic-contractor-search) — “MA hic license 182562 registry-verified active — registry holder of record: REED REMODELING INC.” - Holds an active Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office Minority Business Enterprise certification, 20260080, expiring May 2029. _(confidence: high)_ - [Diversity Certification Registry](https://diversitycertification.mass.gov/BusinessDirectory/BusinessDirectorySearch.aspx) — “Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) certification 20260080 verified active — registry holder of recor…” - Carries 5.0 stars from 20 Angi ratings, mirrored on HomeAdvisor. _(confidence: high)_ - [HomeAdvisor](https://www.homeadvisor.com/rated.ReedRemodeling.23891182.html) — “HomeAdvisor's profile for Reed Remodeling, Inc. of Brockton, MA — the same listing Angi carries (the two mirror each other), showing 5.0 fro…” - [HomeAdvisor](https://www.homeadvisor.com/rated.ReedRemodeling.23891182.html) — “HomeAdvisor: 5.0★ from 20 ratings” - [Angi](https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ma/brockton/reed-remodeling-inc-reviews-1.htm) — “Angi: 5.0★ from 20 ratings” - The 2022 accounts describe crews arriving on time and doing what was promised, with one homeowner who had not had work done for years praising the estimate, the cleanliness and the finished job. _(confidence: medium)_ - [Angi](https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ma/brockton/reed-remodeling-inc-reviews-1.htm) — “5★ This companys workers were personable, worked in a timely fashion, the outcome was great and I was pleased with the bathroom!” - [Angi](https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ma/brockton/reed-remodeling-inc-reviews-1.htm) — “5★ They showed up on time and did what they said they would do!
