That 2025 customer said they broke ground and moved into the new home about 7 months later, that Rusty was responsive to small fixes after the move, and that he worked around "our young daughters nap schedule." RF Downing Homes says it has been in business for 26 years, and the Better Business Bureau gives it an A+ grade and lists it as accredited. Its BBB listing names new residential and commercial construction, remodeling, renovations and lead abatement. A recent Google customer recommends Rusty to anyone building a new home, renovating or repairing one, and says he stands behind his work. A 2025 customer said it was the third home they had built and that Rusty returned a call or text almost immediately. A 2025 reviewer wrote that their neighbors kept telling them how nice the house looked. A 2022 Google reviewer gave one star and called it a "Horrible company!" **Strengths:** - A new home build — a 2025 customer moved in about 7 months after breaking ground - Site selection help — a 2025 customer said Rusty advised on build locations - Prompt responses — 2025 customers said Rusty was responsive and called back quickly **Concerns:** - A one-star review — a 2022 Google reviewer called it a horrible company ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - A 2025 first-time builder said Rusty advised on build locations, coordinated perc testing, and the family moved in about 7 months after breaking ground _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT25vNGNrVkRWRGhQYUd0Q1lWSnhXa3c1TkU5cVZIYxAB!2m1!1s0x0:0xea8d3e2efa1292ad!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOno4ckVDVDhPaGtCYVJxWkw5NE9qVHc%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ First time building a home?
