Angi shows 4.9 stars from 120 ratings, and the Better Business Bureau grades it A+ as an accredited business. The company says it has been in business 10 years, and its website lists a service area that includes Simsbury, Hartford, New Haven, Springfield and Providence.

A recent customer said the company put a new roof on the home and a detached garage under the supervision of Chad Gonzalez, in a job that started around 7:30am and finished around 6pm. A recent customer said Rhino Roofing and team replaced the roof, closed up the skylights and put gutters on.

In a 2025 review, a customer said the new roof was done in one day. That 2024 customer said a high, steep roof facing Long Island Sound, with 2 dormers and a skylight, was completed in one day in January.

On Reddit's r/Connecticut, a recent commenter said they paid 17k for a roughly 1300 sq ft roof from Rhino-Back Roofing. A recent commenter there said their roof cost just north of $34k and called it expensive but worth every penny. A recent commenter said Rhinoback came in at $70k against $60k from JP Carroll. A recent commenter called Rhinoback ridiculously expensive and said they hated its sales gimmicks.

A recent Google reviewer gave one star and said they were constantly harassed by the company after canceling an inspection. A 2025 reviewer said a representative's only concern was their insurance information. A 2024 reviewer said a door-to-door salesman was pushy and had no ID, and that no one showed up for the appointment.

Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0641824, as active, held by Rhino Back Roofing LLC.
