BBB says the firm was established in Massachusetts in 1979, with three employees under owner Richard Fringuelli and manager Karen Fringuelli; the company's own Porch blurb says 1980 and describes a small family-run operation doing electric heat, power and lighting, plus complete wiring for townhouses and small homes. Google shows 3 stars from 2 ratings and Porch shows 3.4 from 5 ratings. BBB rates the business A+. **Strengths:** - Long-running shop — BBB lists it as established in 1979 - Licensed in two states — active MA and NH electrician licenses - BBB grade — A+ rating on its BBB profile **Concerns:** - Panel separation job — 2021 Google review says lights stayed linked **Where sources disagree:** - BBB gives 1979 as the founding year; the company's Porch blurb says established since 1980. ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Massachusetts electrician license #9868-EL-A is active, held by Richard T Fringuelli _(confidence: high)_ - [State License Registry](https://occupationallicensingandpermitting.mass.gov/madol/s/license-search-page) — “MA electrician license 9868-EL-A registry-verified active — registry holder of record: Richard T Fringuelli” - New Hampshire electrician license #9880 is active, held by Richard T Fringuelli _(confidence: high)_ - [State License Registry](https://forms.nh.gov/licenseverification/) — “NH electrician license 9880 registry-verified active — registry holder of record: Richard T Fringuelli” - BBB lists the firm as established in 1979 with three employees, owned by Richard Fringuelli _(confidence: medium)_ - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ma/east-boston/profile/electrician/richards-electric-company-0021-22934) — “BBB's profile for Richards Electric Company of East Boston (PO Box 191, phone 617-569-1043) carries an A+ rating with no accreditation, stat…” - BBB grade A+ _(confidence: high)_ - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ma/east-boston/profile/electrician/richards-electric-company-0021-22934) — “Better Business Bureau grade: A+” - In a 2021 Google review, a customer said a job separating second- and third-floor panels left the floors' lights still linked, and that they were charged to fix the mistakes _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://maps.google.com/?cid=17429734703522063364&g_mp=CiVnb29nbGUubWFwcy5wbGFjZXMudjEuUGxhY2VzLkdldFBsYWNlEAIYBCAA) — “1★ My parents hired Richard to separate the second and third floor electric panel and wow did this guy do a number on their home.
