Last 6 months: 34 reviews, 1 negative. ## The honest read Royal Roofing is a roofing company in Prospect, with a 5-star Google average from 81 ratings. Its website names a service area of Cheshire, Naugatuck, Prospect, Southington, Waterbury, Meriden, Seymour, Wolcott, Wallingford, Watertown and Hamden, and advertises free estimates and 24/7 emergency service. A recent customer had the entire roof replaced in one day; the crew came back the second day to install copper flashing around the chimney. One customer worried about their solar panels, and the company had 6 guys take them down and put them back on, with no issues with functionality afterward. After a February storm of ice, snow and strong winds, Justin looked at one customer's roof at no charge, got the insurance adjuster out within days and scheduled the new roof within a week or so of approval. Elvis came quickly to assess damage to a recent customer's skylight, and the company got that customer in within 3 days to replace it. Elvis also quoted a recent customer for gutters, and that customer said they loved the new system. A recent customer who had a roof done in Oxford recommended the company to a daughter and son-in-law, and said it did that roof too. A 2025 customer said the roof went on four weeks after a first conversation with Gus, was completed in one day, and that the guys were careful to cover the flowers and bushes. A 2025 customer said Daniel started the roof inspection that found storm damage and helped get the roof replaced in its entirety. A 2025 customer said John and Justin handled every aspect of the process, including insurance, and the job was completed in one day. A recent customer said Elvis and an apprentice were knocking door to door and offered to get insurance to pay for a new roof, and the insurance company denied the claim. That customer said Royal never explained that most insurance companies will drop a homeowner's policy after more than one claim in seven years; after a kitchen fire the next year the customer was dropped and now pays about $3,000 for six months of coverage instead of about $500 a year, and called the company's practices deceptive. **Strengths:** - One-day roof replacement — a recent customer said the whole roof was done in one day - Solar panel handling — a recent customer said they took panels down and back up - Quick skylight replacement — a recent customer was booked within 3 days - Insurance adjuster help — a recent customer said Justin got the adjuster out within days **Concerns:** - Door-to-door insurance pitch — a recent customer's claim was denied, then insurance dropped them ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Roofing company in Prospect, CT _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2t4M1dWRlFlbm81VG5KcGJtdGxUbEF5WXpSclJsRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0xb4990905edd7ee79!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOkx3WVFQeno5TnJpbmtlTlAyYzRrRlE%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ We recently hired Royal Roofing in Prospect, CT, to replace our entire roof, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.
