# RUELI BUILDERS **Trade:** General Contractor / Remodeling · **Address:** 120 Main St, Spencer, MA 01562 · **Phone:** (774) 745-0209 · **Website:** https://ruelibuilders.com/ · **Languages:** English **Rating: 2.4/5** (medium confidence) — from 7 reviews across 5 sources. 57% of sentiment-scored reviews read net-positive. Last 6 months: 0 reviews, 0 negative. ## The honest read Rueli Builders is a Spencer general contractor founded by Dominick Rueli in 2018 and incorporated as an LLC in 2020; the company describes itself as family-owned and, per its own site, built around fire, water, smoke, mold and storm restoration alongside roofing, decks, additions and solar installation. The reviews split sharply by the kind of job. Several describe emergency calls the company answered quickly: in a January 2026 review, a customer described the company personally handling a widowed grandmother's flooded basement, which had flooded for the second time in a year, with the owner driving in from the Worcester area to reach the home within about two hours. A February 2025 review described the company navigating a burst-pipe insurance claim on the customer's behalf and making the process easier than expected, and another January 2026 review praised steady communication on a completed project. New-construction work reads very differently. Three January 2026 reviews describe customers who hired the company to build or rebuild a house: one reported cracks throughout the house and multiple leaks that the builder allegedly denied responsibility for; another described unlevel and unfinished work, doors and windows left uninsulated, and construction the reviewer said wasn't built to code, plus no response to calls or emails after final payment; a third, whose house was rebuilt after a fire, reported ongoing mold and leaks and said the company pushed for extra money after being paid upfront. That reviewer also alleged the owner had friends post five-star reviews around the same time — unverifiable here, but several of the positive reviews on file are dated that same week. The Better Business Bureau has accredited the company since August 2022 with an A+ grade, and its profile lists a Massachusetts CSL license (CS-113940) and Home Improvement Contractor registration (HIC 201548) for the business — the same numbers the company posts on its own site, though neither has been checked against the state registry here. Before signing on for ground-up construction or a rebuild, get the punch-list, code sign-off and payment schedule in writing; for a storm, fire or water emergency, the reviews here read more reassuring. **Strengths:** - Quick emergency response — drove in from Worcester to reach a flooded basement - Insurance-claim help — guided a burst-pipe customer through their insurance process - BBB A+ rating — accredited business since August 2022 - Praised communication — stayed in touch throughout a completed project **Concerns:** - New-build cracks and leaks — owner says company denied fault, refused fixes - Incomplete finish work — unlevel floors, uninsulated doors and windows, no follow-up - Post-payment unresponsiveness — stopped answering calls, texts and emails after final payment - Fire-rebuild quality complaints — mold and leaks reported after a house-fire rebuild **Where sources disagree:** - A negative review about a fire-rebuilt house alleges the owner solicited friends for five-star reviews around the time of the dispute — unverified, but several positive reviews on file are dated that same week in January 2026. ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Handled a flooded basement personally, with the owner driving in from the Worcester area to reach the home within about two hours, as described in a January 2026 review. _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2xaNlNXbE1jM2RhV1V4NWJFMUtNVUpEUm1rNGJYYxAB!2m1!1s0x0:0xe27930645187881e!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOlZ6SWlMc3daWUx5bE1KMUJDRmk4bXc%7C%7C?hl=en) — “5★ So thankful for Rueli.
