## The honest read

S & L Tree Service has worked out of Harwich since the company says it got started in the summer of 1975, when Skip and Larry began cutting and hauling trees around their neighborhood with a ladder and a rope. Fifty years later it's still locally owned and run under the same two names, and it still does the same core work: taking down, pruning, and grinding out trees across Harwich, Orleans, Chatham, Brewster, Eastham, and Sandwich.

What holds up across the reviews is follow-through on real removal jobs, even the awkward ones. In a 2024 review, one customer had eight trees taken down and four more trimmed in a single visit -- the crew also flagged a cracked chimney crown they noticed while working nearby, which the homeowner said they wouldn't otherwise have caught.
