Its website names Hartford and Litchfield as its service area and advertises free estimates and 24/7 emergency service. On the excavation side, a recent Google customer said the company dug the foundation for their garage, showed up when it said it would and worked efficiently. A customer setting fence posts said he came out with his auger and concrete mixer. Tree jobs range from storm cleanup to removals. One customer hired the company for tree work and stump removal and said Steve and his crew cleaned everything up when the job was complete. Steve worked on trees behind one customer's fence line, a tight fit, and took all the debris away. After a storm, Steve's team came out within the week to take care of fallen branches and broken trees, then cleaned up afterwards. The company also cut back a large tree hanging over one customer's house, working close to the house. A customer who needed tree removal and a cleared back yard said the yard was cleared as agreed and left clean. **Strengths:** - A garage foundation dig — showed up when promised and worked efficiently - Storm cleanup — came out within the week for fallen branches - Debris hauled off — tree jobs ended with the yard left clean ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - 5-star Google rating from 10 ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=S%26S%20EXCAVATING%20L.L.C.&query_place_id=ChIJM7RR-3_z2oMRMugS9IeJfBY) — “Google: 5★ from 10 ratings” - Dug the foundation for a customer's garage _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2xkV1IweFBaRkZDVjFWVFJWTmxia2xmYjB0amJHYxAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x167c8987f412e832!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOldWR0xPZFFCV1VTRVNlbklfb0tjbGc%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ I couldn’t be happier with the work they did digging the foundation for my garage.
