One 2017 Houzz reviewer said S&W built their home from top to bottom in 1992, then came back for one major addition and remodeling over the years.

The company says on its website that it is a family-run business started in 1983 by Ward Evarts and his son Scott, focused on custom building, historic renovations and remodeling in Fairfield County, CT. Its Better Business Bureau grade is A+.

A 2017 reviewer described hiring S&W in 2009 for a renovation that touched every room of the house, including a kitchen expansion, three bathroom renovations and a detached two-car garage. That 2017 reviewer said S&W held regular status meetings with them and the architect and coordinated electricians, plumbers, masons and framers to keep the project on schedule.

A 2017 customer said another contractor had damaged their home, and S&W fixed the damage and completed the project on budget and on time. A 2017 reviewer wrote that whenever something went wrong, they returned and completed the repair for free. A 2017 customer wrote that S&W is not the cheapest and called the price reasonable.
